ABOUT US

OUR MISSION
To empower people and communities with digital skills and environmental knowledge to play an active role in building a more sustainable future.
WHAT WE DO
We provide inclusive education that enables people and communities to develop essential digital skills while building the environmental awareness needed to create a more sustainable future.
HOW WE DO IT
We deliver courses, workshops and online learning programmes that combine digital skills training with real-world environmental challenges. Learners develop skills such as coding and data literacy through hands-on projects focused on issues like air and water pollution.
Our courses are designed for people with little or no prior technical experience and support learners to build confidence as well as applicable skills. Through citizen-science activities, we empower individuals and communities to collect, understand and use environmental data to take part in local environmental action and decision-making.
WHY WE DO IT
Digital skills are indispensable in today’s world to receive education, find employment, run businesses, communicate, socialise and even manage our money. It’s imperative for communities to access digital skills education to ensure that they are not left behind.
Climate change and other environmental issues such as air, water and soil pollution (all of which are interconnected) are the result of human behaviour. These crises threaten our health, economy and survival, as well as that of the many ecosystems that shape the Earth. To build a sustainable future and prevent further damage to our planet, how we live needs to change. Education and technology play a pivotal role as they both can arm us with the knowledge, skills, values and tools required to build the sustainable future that we so desperately need.
Marginalised communities are more likely to experience digital exclusion, which can in turn lead to economic and social exclusion. They are also more likely to breathe polluted air, to be impacted by natural disasters and to live in spaces more affected by environmental issues. We want to empower people, especially those from marginalised communities, with the knowledge and tools that help them access education and employment and lead the creation of solutions to the issues faced by their communities.
